What the test records, why, for how long, and how to delete it all.
Who runs the site
chaos.viberankly.com is part of the Viberankly network, run by a private individual on a non-professional basis. Under French law (LCEN, article 6, III, 2), the publisher remains anonymous; their identity is known to the host: OVH SAS, 2 rue Kellermann, 59100 Roubaix, France.
No account, no email
You play without signing up. On your first game, a random identifier is stored in a cookie, “chaos_device”, for one year. It is only used to resume an interrupted game and to recognise your own results. Page scripts cannot read it and it is never used for advertising.
Your games
For each game, we record the language, your answers, your type and your scores per axis, and, if you enter it, the first name shown to your friends (20 characters max). A shared result (/r/… link) shows your type and that name to whoever opens it. Your IP address is only used, at the time, to prevent abuse; it is not stored with the game.
Analytics and advertising
With your consent, Google Analytics 4 counts visits and steps of the journey (test start and end, shares, card downloads), without your answers or your name. Your choice is collected by Google’s IAB TCF certified consent platform; without consent, Google Analytics does not load. The site may show Google AdSense ads, personalised only if you agree. You can change your mind at any time with the “Manage cookies” link at the bottom of the page.
Retention and rights
The chaos_device cookie expires after one year. Games are kept as long as the site exists, and Google’s cookies for 13 months at most. You can ask to access or delete your data through the Viberankly contact form (subject “Personal data”), with the link to one of your results. You can also delete the cookie from your browser: your results will then no longer be recognised as yours. If you disagree with how we handle it, you can contact the French data protection authority (CNIL, cnil.fr).
